News Items Recently, a number of folks have asked me if I won my 2009 school board race here in Denver. Here's the answer I posted on FaceBook: "Actually I had quite an interesting race and if it's possible, I both won and lost. My issues of AMP! the Brain (Art, Music, and Physical Fitness) came out big winners - people are continuing to talk - even on a national level! As far as getting on the school board - well, about 6 weeks before the Nov. 3rd election, I had to make a decision between winning the election or promoting the issues. Since school board is not a paid position and I stood to gain possibly more in my community by not being "part of the establishment", I relaxed into the process of "being heard." If I ever run again, I will be MUCH BETTER at clarifying my message early on, so then I can focus on winning... so much for being a novice at this! THANKS FOR ASKING!!!"
